Milton A. Shorr
Founder & CEO

Mr. Shorr is perhaps the most prolific consultant serving the Jewish Community. He is a historic, active and prolific thought leader engaging generations of donors in the Jewish Communal enterprise. He developed the rationale for donor acknowledgement  programs. Commemorative Opportunies such as Donor Dedicated Buildings, Campuses, Endowed Chairs and Programs, name dedications, on site plaques and central recognition were imagined and fashioned by him.  Mr. Shorr holds a Batchelor of Arts, Master of Public Administration and a Professional Fundraising Certificate awarded by the Jewish Agency for Israel.  He is listed in "Who's Who" Paragon, 1996.

 
Jamey Kohn

Donor Analytics & Wealth Screening

Jamey Kohn is affiliated with DCI for decades.  His skills in all facets of information technology are “superhuman”.  Jamey is responsible for writing and updating DCI’s proprietary donor management database used by most clients.  He has expert skills in all commercially available donor analytics software and wealth screening products, mining intelligible user ready benchmarks and forecasting of previously unknown data. He is a graduate of the State University of New York - Albany.

 

Barry Rudel, has more than thirty years experience organizing and managing campaigns.  Mr. Rudel first worked for what is now known as the United Jewish Communities (New York).  He served in executive capacities in the Weizman Institute of Science, Jewish Federation of Philadelphia, and the American Cancer Society.  Mr. Rudel received his BA in history from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Jonathan Spinner, Ph.D
Lead Consultant

Jonathan H. Spinner, Ph.D., has managed DCI capital and endowment campaigns and is a specialist  in volunteer organization, motivation and as a partner and coach in face-to-face solicitations.  He provides unique DCI training for volunteers and strategic analyses for the campaign team.  Mr. Spinner is an adjunct professor in philanthropy at the University of Connecticut, Farmingdale and is now serving as an adjunct instructor at Qunnipiac University. He received a PhD in English Literature from Michigan State University and is a graduate of City College of New York.

Robin P. Israel

For the past 26 years Robin has had a progressive career with San Diego Hebrew Homes. Eleven years ago Robin became instrumental in the creation of Seacrest Foundation, which supports San Diego Hebrew Homes, and currently serves as the Vice President. Robin overseas all philanthropic activities of the Seacrest Foundation and was most recently responsible for the completion of a 3$35 million capital/endowment campaign. 

 

Robin has a Master’s Degree in Public Administration. She has been a featured presenter both locally and nationally on the subjects of marketing, public relations and philanthropy. She has authored several articles on various topics related to aging as well as fundraising in the non-profit sector.

 

Robin lives in Carlsbad, California with her husband, Ron, who is an English Professor, and their two children.

Jonathan Gudmea, Esq.

Planned Giving

Jonathan Gudema has decades of experience implementing planned gift arrangements and tax-advantaged charitable estate planning options.  He is perhaps the leading Jewish communal consultant working with staff, donors and advisors in cultivating and closing significant gifts. Prior to founding Planned Giving Advisors, Jonathan was a Managing Director of a large fundraising consulting firm, held senior positions at the Anti-Defamation League, United Jewish Communities and Continuum Health Partners.  Jonathan is the author of The Planned Giving Blog (www.theplannedgivingblog.wordpress.com).  Jonathan earned a B.A. in Political Science from Rutgers University and a J.D. from Western New England College School of Law. 

Stephan A. Kingson
Lead Consultant

Steven is a seasoned major gifts, capital and planned giving fundraising professional. He served at Princeton University before becoming executive director of the Florida Endowment for Vocational Rehabilitation.  Beyond individual giving, he specializes in identifying, writing and securing grants from private foundations and governmental agencies.  Mr. Kingson is a graduate of Boston University and received an MA from Harvard University.

Randy Gorod
Lead Consultant

Mr. Gorod is a lifelong Jewish communal activist.  He has extensive experience in major gifts and partnering with volunteers and staff to accomplish mission critical fundraising objectives.  His practical experience in monetizing campaign goals combined with intimate knowledge of DCI philosophy, methodology and systems enliven each engagement.  He served in senior positions for Jewish Federations, Universities and Hillel before founding Pisgah Consulting.  Randy’s affable Southern approach inspires all.
