WELCOME
This unique and personal portrait of Scotland takes us on a photographic journey to the spectacular castles, glens, isles, cities and lochs which make up this historic country.

MORE ABOUT MY PHOTOGRAPHY
I only recently switched to a Canon based digital system in 2009 for economic advantages and with the advances in stitching technology for panoramics. However, whilst selling my Linhof 617 camera I have clung on to my trusty and reliable Hasselblad Xpan for back up.

ABOUT SCOTLANDSCAPES

These panoramic photographs show a land whose character changes profoundly with each fluctuation in Scotland's unique natural light. The shift from dawn to dusk. The end of winter and the arrival of spring. Captured is the incredible metamorphosis that happens every day and every year, and the dramatic effect of the changing seasons on both the urban and the rural landscape - winter to summer, dawn to dusk. Years were spent chasing the rising or setting sun to get the right light. Calculating where the sun has set and how that will affect the sunrise. Years spent observing how the light changes with the seasons.

Waiting and watching, watching and waiting - until patience and practice pays off.
